<p>In what could be described as an &#8220;interesting&#8221; move at best in the hr technology world, <a href="http://recruithire.com/">Recruithire</a> today announced that it had acquired Dayak (OnRec&#8217;s 2008 Game Changing Recruiting Technology).</p>
<p>It wasn&#8217;t long ago where there were a number of these recruiter matching with company matching with job websites on the market like dayak.com, <a href="http://talentmaze.com/">talentmaze.com</a> and <a href="http://bountyjobs.com/">bountyjobs.com</a>.  The biggest and most well known being Bountyjobs.    I remember hearing the <a href="http://bountyjobs.com/">bountyjobs.com</a> pitch before they went public with marketing it and it seemed, well, like it would go over huge or fizzle out &#8211; much like jobster did after their massive marketing efforts went away.   You make the call on how successful it has been for you.</p>
<p>The bigger question is can this model ever really succeed or is too far a stretch for most recruiters (and companies) to care about making on a large enough scale to have a real impact?   In my opinion, in order to truly be successful, it would take a partnership with (or acquisition by)  a major job board that wanted to expand their current services to create a network for higher level positions that aren&#8217;t traditionally advertised on their site and attract the 3rd party recruiter that wouldn&#8217;t think of using their sites now.</p>
