ImSoSarah

I’m Sarah White – the geek behind the ImSoCorporate.com blog and I can write about anything – including every aspect of my life, but ask me to write a personal bio and I get writers block and then it just ends up looking like a junior high “vote for me” speech at a class election or even worse, a really lame match.com profile by someone who doesn’t understand the premise,  but here it goes -

Once upon a time, I was corporate. Like, Suits and Heels to work everyday corporate. Black briefcase and 60 hour week corporate. I even owned a wide selection of (gasp) pant suits. Welcome to HR.

I have spent my entire career around recruiting & training top talent and helping companies improve how they were doing it.  From being an early implementor of online recruiting strategies at companies to designing social media campaigns to redesigning the look and feel of products that allow that to happen – I pretty much live & breathe recruiting, hiring and technology.   My “corporate job” is Chief Strategy Officer of HRMDirect – a SaaS solution for Recruiting, Onboarding & Performance Management.

Personally, I am just a kinda sassy, always interesting, never apologetic type of girl who is anything but corporate and loves flip-flops, jeans and T-shirts.   I love all types of music (especially anything live), martini’s (wine & margaritas…),  and traveling.

And now the “corporate version” of that:
Through her roles in recruiting, project management, consulting and now as Chief Strategy Officer at HRMDirect Talent Management Software Sarah White has over 10 years of diverse experience aligning talent strategies with business strategies.  She is an experienced speaker, blogger, author and trainer working with organizations of all sizes and industries with a particular niche in privately held small to mid sized organizations.
In the past few years, she has served as keynote or guest speaker on a national, regional and local level for such prestigious groups as Kennedy Information, SHRM, HRMA, Young Professionals Group (YP), Children’s Miracle Network and more.  In addition, she authors artcles and blogs, guest speaks in university classrooms, CEO roundtables and other business groups and has been tapped as an industry expert by Wall Street Journal, NBC News, and various regional newspapers and business journals.  She has a bachelor of arts degree in Speech Communications with a focus on Organizational Communications.

Dear don’t you think you should mention your name in the profile? “Hi I’m Sarah White and I’m as old as the Iranian Revolution. That means I’m on the cusp of Generation Y and Gen X (for those of you who are into generational astrology) but I can still talk to Baby Boomers. I don’t hate them. Really.”

Well this was a bit of shock. Who listens to me? But apart from the fact that you forgot to say that you work for a guy who was once the best writer in the recruitosphere (maybe you don’t know that) it’s very readable – to me.
