(or something like that) Competition was stiff, but it was through a highly detailed discussion of multiple photographs and my clothing choices in each that it was determined that I have a personal brand that is fun, yet approachable. It almost sounded like they said ‘likable’ i won’t go to that stretch but… Anyhow, I’m just waiting on the official blog badge and we will be set. I have arrived and the traffic should start pouring in. Right? ;-)

Now, I’m tagged as the picture guy. But, you know, I don’t think anybody understood this award. It was for a subtle control of a complex public image. I only used the pictures as an example. Dancing with the kids, that’s 100% mommish. Picture with Gerry, 100% professional. Interspersed, in the same environment, something a little extra. But the pictures aren’t the whole story. I should have use more marketing mumbo jumbo. Everyone would have pretended they understood.

@Animal – I totally got it – or at least think I do. I completely agree that my brand is carefully crafted (as much as people think it isn’t) and everything has a purpose. It is easy to have a professional only brand – or a brand that is personal only – there is a lot of balancing to create a personal brand that is not only fun and who I am as real person – but also who I am in business and how they really are the same person. I promise no concert pictures this year. Ok, that won’t happen.
