ATS = Applicant Trashing System??

Ok, so not likely – but over the past few days Elaine Orler, Chris Hoyt, myself and a number of others came up with what ATS should really stand for…

Some of the favorites are:

• Apathy Through Software
• Application Trashing System
• Always Tormenting Staffing
• Absolute Time Suck
• Antiquated Task Software
• Always Transactional System

Elaine Orler (whose new company Talent Function had a Sweet Launch party last week at HR Tech – see pics HERE) wrote a cool post on the history of ATS and how it sucks the life out of most recruiting processes…my words not hers….
